The string on my bow or crossbow broke on the first shot
💥 A dry fire?
In most cases, a string that breaks on the first shot is due to a dry fire (shooting without an arrow/bolt).
This is very dangerous for the equipment, as the energy can't dissipate properly:
➡️ It transfers back into the limbs or cams, which can snap the string instantly
➡️ In 99.9% of cases, it’s one of the string loops that breaks first
➡️ On compound models, it can even damage the cams or completely unseat the bow/crossbow
❌ Not covered by warranty
Manufacturers never cover dry fires under warranty, as they are considered misuse.
